Running Back Jamal Lewis

(On the bye week)- “I think it will just help correct a lot of mistakes that we have made over the last eight weeks. [It will] give us a good self evaluation and see actually where we are at, what works, what doesn’t work, what should we keep doing, what should we not keep doing. Just kind of iron out the kinks and try to start off the second half of the season like we wanted to start off the first.”

(On his reaction to George Kokinis longer being with the team)- “My reaction to it is, things happen. This is nature of this business. [It’s the] same way players go, cut players, get rid of players, bring in new ones and stuff like that just because whatever the case may be. It is just the nature of the business. Sorry it had to happen at this time of the season and under these circumstances, but I know George is a good guy. I’ve known him for a while since he was in Baltimore.”

(On how important it is for him to go out on his own terms)- “When I first came into this league, one of my main goals was to leave this league when I wanted to leave it and not at somebody else’s discretion. That’s how I wanted to go out and my plan has pretty much worked out the way that I planned them 10 years ago. I am happy with my goals that I’ve set, because I’ve accomplished them and I’ve reached them. I’ve done all that I wanted to ever do.”

Wide Receiver Brian Robiskie

(On if anything has been surprising this year)- “The surprising thing is just that offensively we haven’t come out and performed the way we wanted to. That’s the most frustrating thing. Obviously, you want to help contribute and do all that you can. The biggest thing is to just help your team win games and we haven’t been doing that.”

(On what he thought his rookie season would be like)- “It’s not over yet. We have got another half of the season to go and we have a lot of chances to keep growing. That’s all I’m going to do, is keep working and keep growing and see what happens.”

(On if the offensive system is accountable for the offensive struggles)- “I think it’s everybody involved offensively. It’s not the system. You can’t blame it on one guy or these group of guys. It’s definitely everybody. I think everybody is holding themselves accountable. We all know that at every position, across the board, we all know that we can improve. We all know that there are some things that we have done that we need to improve on and hopefully we can do that.”
